Our story
We are working to eliminate the legacy back office processes and challenges that drain companies’ profits in one of the most complex industries in the world.
Matt and Shaosu start working together at Uber Freight and see first hand the challenges in transportation spend management.
The team recognized that to fix the financial system for the supply chain, we must first fix the underlying data. So they started with a domain-driven approach and began building our atomic task system - a system that can break down any workflow into smaller, more manageable, atomic tasks. This was the beginning of the first LLM built for the supply chain.
Loop raises $30M from Founders Fund, 8VC Capital, Susa, Flexport, and others in a Series A round to accelerate its roadmap and speed up value delivery to customers.
Loop $35M Series B makes a splash in the financial services and fintech worlds through being backed by J.P. Morgan Growth Equity and Index Ventures: two financially focused juggernauts that embody Loop’s trust, security, and innovation.
Loop announces their payment partnership with J.P. Morgan to help make financial operations more accessible and profitable for every shipper, carrier, and third-party logistics provider.
Our Founders
Matt McKinney
Co-Founder and CEO of Loop, who drew upon his background as a serial entrepreneur and time at Uber Freight to tackle the massive problem of building a new structure for the legacy transportation payment system that supports the global supply chain.
Having studied engineering at USC and Stanford, Matt is no stranger to complex data problems. When he's not wrangling unstructured data, you can find him running, biking, or playing with his two sons.
Shaosu Liu
Co-Founder and CTO of Loop, was an engineering powerhouse at Uber and Uber Freight where he tackled the massive problem of building a software that can optimize a network of networks to build a more collaborative supply chain.
With an engineering degree from University of Illinois, Shaosu is no stranger to connecting and standardizing difficult systems. When he's not helping his world class engineering team whiteboard a solution, you can find him exploring the Bay Area with his son and daughter.
